Ludwig Escherich a 40 years airline veteran having worked for Saudi Arabian Airlines since 1968. Ludwig started his aviation career as an Avionics Engineer but quickly gave in to the lure of flying and became a Boeing 707 Flight Engineer.
His Flight Engineer career saw him fly the Lockheed L-1011, B747-100/-200F/-300 and B747SP as well as hold management position as Supervisor L-1011 Flight Engineers and subsequently Supervisor B747 Flight Engineers. During this period Ludwig was very much involved in the acceptances and deliveries of Lockheed 1011 and Boeing 747 as well as inspections and flights after D checks of the 747. Later on he was involved in the deliveries of the Boeing 777, Boeing 747-400 and MD90.
Ludwig left the airline in 2007 and the last position held was within Flight Operations Standards where he worked on procedures.
