Mohamed El-Boraï graduated with a Ph.D. in Computational Aerodynamics from the
UK after completing his apprenticeship with Hawker Siddeley Aviation
(Hatfield).
German born, Egyptian, he then joined the Boeing Commercial Airplane Co. in
Seattle in 1980. In 1982 he joined Saudi Arabian Airlines in Jeddah to set up
the Flight Operations Performance Engineering department and subsequently
headed the Flight Operations Automation he left five years later having held
various senior positions in Flight Operations.
In 1987 he joined Airbus Industrie’s Product Support Division as Regional
Manager Middle East and Africa, 14 years later he left as Vice-President
Customer Support Services to found Reliance Aerospace Solutions.
While setting up Reliance Aerospace Solutions, Dr. El-Borai joined Thomas Cook
AG. as V.P. Airline Operations and subsequently was appointed Managing Director
and UK CAA Accountable Manager of the UK Charter Airline JMC (now Thomas Cook
Airlines UK) and Board Member of the Thomas Cook UK Executive Board. He
completed a successful turnaround of the airline during the difficult period
between 2001 and 2002.
From 2002 onwards he has concentrated on developing Reliance Aerospace Solutions
where the turnover has tripled in the last five years.
